재생이 시작될 때 광고가 붙지 않으면 성공입니다.
피드에서 광고가 사라진 것만으로는 확인이 어렵습니다.
그쪽은 막는 방식이 달라서 웬만하면 잘 되기 때문입니다.
설치할 때 호환성 경고가 한 번 뜹니다. 정상입니다. 크롬이 스토어에서 받는 것과 같은 패키지인데, Orion이 지원하지 않는 네트워크 차단 기능이 들어 있다고 알려주는 것뿐입니다. 계속을 누르면 설치되고, 영상 차단은 그대로 동작합니다. 다른 사이트에서는 광고 요청이 나가되 광고 자리는 숨겨집니다.
"Extensions Error / Something went wrong" 이 뜨면 파일 문제가 아닙니다. Orion 의 확장 설치는 아직 베타라 자주 실패합니다.
갓 받은 파일은 먼저 기기에 저장해 주세요. 실기기에서 갈린 것이 이것이었습니다 — 예전에 받아 폰에 남아 있던 파일은 설치되고, 방금 받은 파일은 같은 내용인데도 실패했습니다.
그래도 막히면 Orion 설정에서 캐시를 지우고 다시 해 보세요.
그래도 안 되면 앱 스위처에서 Orion 을 완전히 닫고 다시 해 보세요. 계속 실패하면 이슈로 알려 주세요.
To check that it works, play a video.
If nothing runs before the video starts, it is working.
Ads disappearing from the feed does not prove much.
Those are blocked a different way and almost always go.
A compatibility warning appears once during install — that is normal. It is the same package Chrome gets from the store, and Orion is telling you it contains a network-blocking feature it does not implement. Tap continue and it installs. Video blocking is unchanged; elsewhere ad requests go out but the ad slots are still hidden.
"Extensions Error / Something went wrong" is not the file. Extension installation in Orion is still in beta and fails often. Chased to the end on a real device, one thing fixed it.
Clear Orion's cache in its settings. Then swipe the old copy away in Extensions and pick the zip with +. If a later version sticks at the same place, clear the cache again.
If it still refuses, close Orion from the app switcher and try once more. If it keeps failing, tell me in an issue.

chrome://extensions 를 입력해 주세요chrome://extensions in the address bar압축을 푼 폴더는 그대로 두셔야 합니다.
크롬이 그 폴더를 계속 참조하면서 확장을 실행하기 때문에, 폴더를 지우거나 다른 곳으로 옮기면 확장이 곧바로 멈춥니다.
다운로드 폴더는 피해 주세요.
나중에 정리하다가 실수로 지우기 쉬운 자리입니다.
Leave the unzipped folder where it is.
Chrome keeps reading that folder to run the extension. Delete it or move it and the extension stops immediately.
So do not use your Downloads folder.
That is the one you clear out without looking.

Orion 에서는 "다른 사이트"가 숨김만 됩니다. Orion 이 크롬의 네트워크 차단 기능을 구현하지 않아서, 광고 요청은 나가되 광고 자리는 보이지 않습니다. 영상 차단은 아무것도 빠지지 않습니다.
Brave · Vivaldi 는 크로미움 계열이라 같은 파일로 동작할 것으로 보지만, 직접 확인하지는 않았습니다.
Safari 는 확장을 앱으로 감싸 서명해야 해서 접었고, Firefox 는 매니페스트가 달라 그대로는 안 됩니다. 안드로이드 Chrome 은 확장 자체를 지원하지 않습니다.
On Orion, "elsewhere" is hiding only. Orion does not implement Chrome's network blocking, so ad requests go out but the slots stay invisible. Nothing is missing from the video side.
Brave and Vivaldi are Chromium, so the same package should work there — untested.
Safari needs the extension wrapped in a signed app, which was dropped; Firefox has a different manifest; Chrome for Android supports no extensions at all.

The blocking rules are kept apart from the extension code.
The extension checks for new ones whenever you open a page, so a rule change never means reinstalling.

What it does is filter the requests your own browser makes, on your own device, and hide ad elements in pages you already received. It does not touch anyone's servers or protection measures, does not unlock paid features, and neither downloads nor redistributes any content.
